Connection of an HSS 6x6x1/4 stud column and guide rail assembly at a metal deck edge supported by a W24 beam. The deck edge incorporates a 1/4 inch bent plate with headed stud anchors at 16 inches on center and a typical number 4 edge bar. The HSS support is shop welded to the deck edge with a 1/4 inch fillet weld spaced at 3 to 12 inches. An L6x6x5/16 by 6-inch angle with long slot holes is provided on each side of the connection. Additional anchorage includes a headed stud anchor centered on the HSS connected to the deck.
