Steel studs sized per plan and schedule are bridged with S162-43 blocking installed at the splice location. Double horizontal flat strap splices span across the studs with a minimum of one number ten screw at each strap to stud intersection. Four number ten screws are fastened into the blocking on each side of the splice at equal spaces. Blocking and bridging are attached to the steel studs per sheet note 7/S6.1.
