A wide flange beam sized per plan supports a metal deck and concrete fill assembly overhead, bearing on a hollow structural section column sized per plan. Angles measuring L6x1/2x3/8 are attached to each side of the hollow structural section with a width matching the hollow structural section, welded using five-sixteenths inch welds spaced at four inches typical each angle. A three-quarter-inch diameter through bolt is centered in a two-inch long vertical slotted hole in the hollow structural section connection. A closure plate sized per plan is installed at the edge where indicated.
