A timber connection between intersecting glulam beams and a vertical glulam column tied with steel tension rods. A half-inch thick bucket plate matching the beam width is secured to the glulam beam with eight SDWS27400SS structural screws on each side. A three-quarter-inch thick bucket plate extends horizontally to receive a number four clevis with a one-and-three-quarter-inch tap and a two-inch pin connected to a tension rod of sized diameter. Three-eighths-inch stiffener plates are aligned with the centerline at the tension rod ends. A three-eighths-inch fillet weld secures the plate assembly on each side as detailed in section A-A.
