This structural steel connection details a buckling-restrained braced frame junction at a beam per elevation. Three-quarter-inch-thick stiffener plates are welded to each side of the beam web at the work point. A five-sixteenth-inch fillet weld is specified on three sides typically. The gusset plates and associated welding are installed per the buckling-restrained brace design drawings.
