Surface delaminations in an existing floor slab are addressed by repair areas requiring sawcuts verified with the owner's representative, with sawcut lines prohibited from crossing and edges protected during concrete removal to prevent spalling. Core drill three-inch diameter holes are specified at each corner of the patch perimeter. Delaminated concrete is removed down to sound concrete with a minimum three-eighths inch thickness, maintaining a three-quarter inch minimum around the perimeter of the delamination. The repair edge is cleaned and freed of all laitance and dried immediately prior to placing the repair material, and the finished surface is finished to match existing.
