A non-slip checkered plate nosing attaches to the leading edge of the stair landing or platform grating. The stair nosing line working point aligns with the front edge of this nosing. The nosing profile extends a maximum of four inches from the landing or platform edge. A structural member beneath the nosing assembly supports the grating.
