A three-by pressure-treated stair stringer bears on a continuous three-by-six pressure-treated wood sill plate anchored to a four-inch minimum concrete slab. The sill plate is secured with half-inch diameter Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ expansion anchors spaced at sixteen inches on center per ESR-1917. A Simpson A35 framing anchor connects each set of stringers to the assembly. The concrete slab features a typical four-inch minimum thickness at the base of the stair run.
