A screenwall post connects to its structural support using a bolted flange assembly with an optional Fabreeka or approved equal thermal break material designed for Mu = 60 k-ft. Two 3/4-inch by 1-foot-2-inch by 1-foot-2-inch plates secure the joint with four 7/8-inch diameter A325 bolts at a 9-inch gage, fastened with 5/16-inch typical fillet welds. A 3/8-inch full-depth stiffener aligns with the screenwall post bottom flange, welded with 1/4-inch fillet welds on three sides typical. A bottom flange kicker brace connects as detailed per plan, and connections occurring over a column require a 3/4-inch column cap plate with 5/16-inch all-around fillet welds to both the column and post.
