A structural steel column rests on a three and one-half inch thick steel base plate secured by eight two-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 105 anchor rods. Plate washers are welded to the base plate at each anchor rod location. The anchor layout features symmetrical spacing around the column centerline with edge distances of four inches and intermediate spacings of thirteen inches in both directions.
