A structural steel column base plate plan connection utilizes four 1 1/2-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 105 anchor rods with 1/2-inch by 3 1/2-inch square plate washers and standard holes per AISC recommendations typically. The steel column flanges are welded with complete joint penetration welds under D1.8-DCW seismic provisions. The column web is connected with 5/16-inch fillet welds on both sides under D1.8-DCW requirements.
