An HSS hanger connects an upper wide-flange beam to a lower stair landing frame using bolted shear tab connections at both ends. The upper end of the hanger frames into a W24 beam, while the lower end connects to an HSS8x6 member referenced per plan at the second landing elevation. The assembly suspends the stair landing load through the vertical hollow structural section hanger.
