This concrete slab on grade construction joint features a thirty-eight millimeter, one-and-a-half-inch keyway sized to one-third of the slab depth positioned continuously at mid-height. Continuous fifteen-meter reinforcing bars run on each side of the joint, supplemented by a tension lap as sized per plan for reinforcing. The assembly rests on a prepared sub-base.
