Two wide-flange beams frame into a wide-flange girder of matching depth using complete joint penetration welds at the top and bottom flanges with backup bars to remain. The web connection utilizes typical bolted shear tabs on each side of the web. Backup bars are specified at both top and bottom flange welds typical throughout the connection.
