A reinforced concrete wall pier features specific vertical reinforcing steel and tie configurations. Total vertical steel is equally spaced per the panel elevation, supplemented by additional number five vertical bars at the mitered corner. Number three ties are spaced at six inches on center unless noted otherwise. Concrete cover is maintained at three-quarters of an inch to one inch around the perimeter. Jamb bars matching the vertical rebar size consist of a minimum of two number five bars typically.
