A six-inch concrete mechanical equipment pad sits atop rigid insulation and metal deck, supported by a wide-flange steel beam below. A curb at the edge of the pad incorporates continuous number four top and bottom reinforcing bars with standard hooks at the edge. Additional number four A706 reinforcing bars with standard hooks are spaced at twelve inches on center where parallel to the beam, with two provided where perpendicular. The inside edge of the curb aligns with the edge of the wide-flange beam below, and a quarter-inch fillet weld secures the beam assembly. Top of steel elevations vary, and the roof insulation meets a minimum one point zero pounds per square inch density.
