A wide-flange beam carries a stiffener plate welded to its web per plan schedule. The stiffener plate "T" aligns with the web and is secured with a specified weld size "S" on two sides. A dimensional clearance gap is maintained between the end of the stiffener plate and the inner flange radius, ranging from a minimum of "K" to a maximum of "K plus one inch".
