This assembly features pressure-treated studs (PWT) supporting a pony wall above a floor joist system. The floor joists are sized per plan and sit atop a continuous CS16 strap. Each pressure-treated stud is secured to the bottom plate with an H2.5A hurricane tie. Trimmer studs are installed on each side of the pressure-treated studs, fastened with 16d-short nails spaced at 16 inches on center. The assembly includes a non-structural concrete topping and sheathing as specified per plan, with the top of the plate at the pony wall and the top of the sheathing defined per plan.
