This detail outlines clearance requirements and sleeve installations for core drills and penetrations near post-tensioned tendon anchorages in concrete slabs. A two-and-a-half-inch clear distance is maintained from the slab edge to the tendon anchorage. When slab penetrations fall within a forty-five-degree bearing cone of the tendon anchor, an inserted Schedule 40 steel pipe sleeve is required. Penetrations located farther than one point five times the diameter or width, and not less than eighteen inches minimum from the anchor, do not require a sleeve. Penetrations with dimensions greater than ten inches require trim reinforcing rebar detailed on sheet S110.
