A column vertical bar compression splice with cranked bars occurs at a concrete floor slab transition. Vertical reinforcement bars transition through the slab thickness with a maximum offset ratio of one to six and a maximum offset of seventy-five millimeters. Full tie spacing is required twenty-five millimeters above and below the slab, with two additional spaces at seventy-five millimeters. Column dowels are sized per the column schedule and extend into the lower column.
