A wide-flange beam splice connection utilizes a connection plate welded to the web with specified fillet weld sizes. The plate thickness is sized according to the web thickness plus one-quarter inch. A one-half inch gap separates the beam ends at the joint centerline. Bolt number and size are coordinated with the non-moment beam connection schedule. Location along the span is referenced to the support centerline per plan.
