A hollow structural section member spans between structural steel beams sized per plan. The hollow structural section connects to the beam web using three-by-three by quarter-inch angles three inches long on each side, secured with erection bolts as required. Connections to the beam web and hollow structural section follow standard connection details. A load table provides maximum LRFD loads for various hollow structural section sizes including six-by-two, four-by-four, and six-by-six profiles.
