An exterior concrete slab edge features a thickened edge profile bearing on compacted subgrade with a minimum vertical dimension of one foot zero inches. Continuous number four reinforcing bars with standard hooks are placed within the concrete edge, coordinated with exterior slab reinforcing per the foundation plan. Finish grade or exterior paving is positioned adjacent to the vertical slab edge per architectural drawings.
