A structural steel beam frames into a supporting wide-flange member using a full-depth plate extending to the flanges of the supporting beam. The supported beam features a bottom flange that is coped on one side and ground flush with the beam web to clear the connection geometry. Bolt holes are provided through the web and connection plate per plan specifications. Additional information for the assembly is referenced to Detail A.
