A stair stringer and landing channel are supported by a three-inch standard steel pipe column where it occurs. The landing channel frames into a three-eighths by six-inch square plate connected to the top of the pipe column with a quarter-inch fillet weld. The bottom of the pipe column bears on a floor beam per plan, reinforced with stiffener plates on each side welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld per sheet 19/S0.41.
