A hollow structural section header supports a stair landing slab and connects to a channel stringer with an L4x4x3/8 by zero-foot-three-inch angle clip fastened by one five-eighth-inch-diameter A325-N bolt on each side of the header. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld typically joins the channel stringer to the assembly, maintaining a half-inch gap.
