Hollow structural section beams are sized per plan and feature miter-cut ends meeting at the building corner. The ends of the hollow structural sections are notched according to detail specifications. Three-sided fillet welds with a three-sixteenths inch size secure the connection typically along the top and bottom. Additional fabrication and installation information is referenced to separate detail callouts.
