Bracing wire is secured to cold-formed metal studs using a 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches by 12 gauge continuous channel spanning across multiple studs. One number 2 screw connects the channel at each stud location. The wire connects to the assembly via a specialized bracket fastened to the web of the metal stud.
