An aluminum rectangular tube of 4x4 size connects to a vertical aluminum rectangular tube member of the same dimension using a one-half-inch thick aluminum gusset plate. A three-eighths-inch thick aluminum cap plate closes the end of the intersecting tube. The assembly is joined using one-quarter-inch fillet welds as specified by the callouts. Clearances of two inches are maintained between the framing members.
