A new masonry wall is anchored to an existing concrete garage footing using drilled and epoxy-set vertical dowels matched to the vertical reinforcing. The epoxy dowels are installed using Hilti RE500-SD adhesive with a minimum eight inch embedment into the existing footing. A slab on grade intersects the masonry wall at a specified height above the footing, with dimensions indicating a minimum two foot clearance to the top of slab. Existing masonry is shown adjacent, requiring the surface to be roughened and cleaned prior to new masonry installation. Masonry wall size, reinforcing, and slab on grade specifications are sized per plan.
