A 16-gauge track stud wall connects to a wide-flange beam using a 14-gauge angle measuring three inches by five inches by three inches long. The angle is welded to the web of the wide-flange beam with one-eighth-inch fillet welds on three sides, and welded to the back of the stud track with a one-eighth-inch fillet weld. A nine-inch maximum offset dimension is maintained between the centerline and the stud face, with a half-inch maximum clearance. A diagonal brace member connects to the underside of the wide-flange beam.
