A structural steel column specified per elevation supports a plate connection detailed on sheet 22/S-506. A one-half inch thick plate with a width equal to the column width plus one inch is attached to the column flange. A one-fourth inch fillet weld secures the plate assembly. A typical one-inch clearance is maintained at the connection.
