A structural steel bracing connection features a gusset plate welded to a beam with a typical one-quarter inch fillet weld. Diagonal braces frame into the gusset plate at a defined working point per plan. A number four by two-foot grade sixty A706 dowel bar is anchored with a spacing of twelve inches on center maximum, including a hook at the slab edge where applicable. The beam size and configuration are detailed per elevation and plan requirements.
