A ten-gauge bent plate connects the stair stringer to an HSS8x4x3/8 structural steel tube column. An L6x4x3/8 angle member frames into the connection assembly, supported by one-quarter-inch plates welded with fillet welds. Typical stair treads are constructed from L1-1/2x1-1/2x3/16 angles measuring zero feet eight inches in length. Fillet welds of three-sixteenths and one-quarter inch sizes secure the plates and structural members together. Clearances and landing elevations are coordinated per the architectural and structural plans.
