The assembly connects a steel beam to a structural column flange using a combination of welded and bolted elements. It features complete joint penetration (CJP) welds at the beam flanges, a shear tab welded to the column and bolted to the beam web with erection bolts, and stiffener plates aligned with the beam flanges. Specific plate thicknesses and weld configurations are called out for both top and bottom flange connections.
