An L2x2x14-gauge angle wall tie spans between a vertical stud and a wide flange beam, sized per plan. The angle is lapped with the stud and fastened with three number-10 sheet metal screws, maintaining a one-inch maximum clearance. The opposite end of the angle connects to the bottom flange of the wide flange beam using either two number-12 sheet metal screws or four 0.145-inch diameter shot pins on the beam gauge, unless otherwise noted in the details. The vertical stud is specified per detail 1/S8.0.
