An L3x3x3/8-inch angle measuring 7 inches long is welded to the hollow structural section girt using a 5/16-inch fillet weld. A mating L3x3x3/8-inch angle measuring 6 inches long is welded to the channel jamb with a 3/16-inch fillet weld on three sides. These two angles are connected using two 3/4-inch diameter A325 slip-critical oversized bolts spaced at 3 inches on center. The assembly coordinates with exterior wall panels and a concrete masonry unit wall per architectural drawings.
