A steel beam connects to a stair stringer with a three-quarter inch closure plate and a one-quarter inch closure plate. A structural angle measuring L4x4x1/4 by zero feet eight inches is located on each side of the steel column. Welds include a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld and a one-quarter inch fillet weld applied to three sides. A steel column and steel beam are sized per plan and schedule.
