Cold-formed metal stud wall framing connects to overhead ceiling joists using a continuous track secured with two number eight screws at each stud and blocking. Ceiling joists bear directly onto the top track and are fastened with two number eight screws at each joist. 362T125-43 ceiling ties are anchored to the top of the joists with a minimum of two number eight screws at each joist. The metal stud wall requires a minimum of thirty-three mils thickness, with finishes specified on architectural drawings.
