A structural connection between HSS6x4 flat girts and an HSS6x6 post for a roof screen wall. The girts connect via 4-and-one-half-inch by quarter-inch top and bottom plates welded to the post with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Each girt is secured with two three-quarter-inch diameter machine bolts, utilizing short slotted holes on one end of each girt to accommodate movement with an eighth-inch maximum clearance. A three-quarter-inch gap is maintained between the end of the girt and the face of the column.
