New L 2 x 2 x 1/8 steel angle auxiliary webs are installed on each side of the existing truss web with a 1/8-inch fillet weld, typically positioned with a 1-1/2-inch minimum clearance. Additional concentrated loads applied within six inches of panel points do not require auxiliary webs. The engineer must be notified if the existing steel truss configuration conflicts with the addition of these auxiliary web members.
