Standard vertical wall reinforcing continues over the wall opening with a standard hook into the bottom of the lintel. A concrete masonry unit wall control joint is located at the end of the lintel where noted on plans. A standard hook is provided at the end of the bottom bar where the bar cannot be fully developed. Standard vertical wall reinforcing starts at the cell adjacent to the opening or control joint if present. One vertical bar, sized per standard wall vertical reinforcing, terminates at the lintel bearing when a wall control joint is present.
