Steel beams frame into a structural steel column utilizing bolted web connections at exterior perimeter beams. A one-half-inch cap plate tops the column, sized per the column schedule, welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld. Web stiffeners are provided at the column web for local reinforcement. A metal roof deck bears continuously across the top of the steel framing members.
