A wide flange drag beam braced by L3x3x1/4 angles positioned on each side at 10 feet on center. Each angle connects to the drag beam web via a 3/16-inch fillet weld to a plate, and to the adjacent structural members using a 1/4-inch by 6-inch square plate at each end. An optional erection bolt is permitted at each end of the angle per contractor preference. The connection of the plate to the wide flange beam and the angle to the plate are both specified with 3/16-inch fillet welds. The metal deck is positioned above the assembly as indicated on the structural plans.
