An 18 inches long by 6 inches wide by 12 gauge sheet metal plate bears against the underside of a concrete-filled metal deck at each metal stud brace, spaced at 4 feet zero inches on center. A clip angle of the same gauge as the brace connects to the deck using three number 8 screws or welds. A metal stud wall aligns below a continuous track, secured with number 8 screws at each metal plate and two number 8 screws per stud to track. Additional 18 inches long by 6 inches wide by 12 gauge sheet metal plates are spaced at 24 inches on center along the continuous track. Fillet welds of one-eighth inch size connect components with typical lengths and spacings indicated.
