The concrete placement boom footing ties into the main mat foundation. A tower crane blockout is provided at the contractor's option with formsavers for the future tie-in. Number 4 epoxy-coated reinforcing dowels are drilled and epoxy-grouted at twenty-four inches on center with a six-inch embedment each way. The blockout area is filled with concrete after the placing boom has been removed, maintaining a typical one-inch concrete cover.
