A slab step condition occurs at a concrete wall supporting post-tensioned or non-post-tensioned slabs. A slip joint connection is specified when the vertical distance "H" is less than five feet. An alternate construction method permits pouring or shotcreting the section of the wall after the slab is stressed. Slab reinforcement is sized per structural plans with specified slab thickness.
