An HSS 5x5x3/8 hanger suspends a sloping beam per plan with a connection featuring a quarter-inch stiffener plate welded to the supporting beam web. The supported beam includes a one-half-inch radius cope around the flange and extends to match a filler on the opposite side, leaving a maximum one-half-inch clearance. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld secures the assembly.
