An HSS6x2 hollow structural section rail frames into a wide flange column. The rail passes through or intersects the column web, oriented and positioned per the architectural or structural floor plan. A three-sixteenth-inch typical fillet weld secures the connection assembly. Grid dimensions of nine inches and one foot one inch locate the framing relative to column grids.
