A bolted wide flange column splice connection is located four feet above the top of the slab. The connection utilizes outside flange plates and inside flange plates on each side of the column flanges, supplemented by single filler plates as required. A half-inch web plate is positioned on each side of the column web. Both the flange and web connections utilize new ASTM A325 slip-critical bolts placed above and below the splice location. Plate sizes, thicknesses, and bolt diameters are referenced in the structural schedule.
